He gained a post-graduate bursary, continuing his studies at the Royal Academy schools digital photography backdrops and was awarded silver digital photography backdrops and bronze medals for sculpture, graduating with a post-graduate diploma in 1979. Wright took up part-time post teaching art in a North London junior school, continuing his art practice digital photography backdrops and exhibiting.
